i figured maybe i should just store all of my reference-type photos that i took on here so that i could always find them easily.  these are just around the outside when we closed. 

many, many things

there's been a lot of fixing around here already.  some, like replacing electrical boxes and chimney flashing, are wonderful to cross off of the list but not so exciting to document.  

however, check out our new front door - better, right? tom scraped it and stripped all of the old paint off and even managed to get the painted-over doorknob diamond thing back to it's shiny brass self.  and we replaced the silk vines stuffed in styrofoam with actual snake plants in the planter. 

two blogs is a great idea.

because really, if you can't keep up with the blog you already have - you should probably start another one...

actually i'm just really psyched to have left renter-dom for at least a few years and to finally have an abode that we can mess with however we want.  alberta is an awesome house.  great space, fantastic location for us, bright, and full of 900 million projects to keep us (tom) busy.  

also, i kind of love before/after photos and if i put them here, then i won't drive everyone on facebook crazy with them.   

and there we are - on the corner of alberta and elm.  totally not our car in the driveway though.  if you look up in the top right of the picture, you can see the edge of the playground at mason's school.  pretty rad.
